About TL Review

What is TL Review?

Teamwork & Leadership Review (TL Review) is a free web app designed to help give your projects a feedback and improvement plan component. Built around the 360-degree review framework, team members provide each other with feedback and use their own feedback to craft action plans to help them improve. In a classroom setting, professors can break students up into teams, set expectations for student improvement, and gather feedback on the growth of their students, all on one platform.

What can I do with TL Review?

If you plan on having teams and projects, TL Review provides a place for team members to leave feedback on each other's contributions to the project, and to also help everyone discover their individual strengths and weaknesses. To expand on the classroom setting example mentioned above, an instructor starts by identifying attributes they want to cultivate in their students and by breaking students up into teams. For example, an attribute could be meets setbacks with an optimistic attitude. Students choose a few attributes they want to work on and how they plan on improving those attributes throughout the project. This is called an action plan.

Throughout the course of the project, team members give each other feedback, rating each other's strongest and weakest attributes, and can change their action plans at different stages of the project based on the ongoing feedback from their team mates. By the end of the project, each person will have a personalized report of their growth and their strongest and weakest attributes.

Who develops TL Review?

TL Review is designed, developed, and maintained by BYU's Center for Teaching and Learning. Student developers build new features and address bugs and other issues as they arise.
