Instructors can assign students to groups with other students. Groups are used for group assignments, group Digital Dialog discussions, and group exceptions. You can view what groups you are in by going to the Groups tab of the Home page of a course.

  • For group assignments, students in the same group should work together to complete the assignment. Students can view their group by clicking on the desired group assignment on the Assignments page and then clicking the Group tab.

  • Students can see what discussions their groups are in (sorted by groups) by clicking on the Groups tab of the Digital Dialog page.


    Students can see who is in their group discussions by clicking on the desired discussion, then clicking on the Participants dropdown in the top right of the screen.

  • Instructors can create expectations for students for assignments and exams by grouping students together. Students cannot see these groups.
