Notifications

Notifications for messages can be changed in instructor preferences.

Instructor Preferences

1. Click the dropdown next to the instructor's name located at the top right corner of the course page. Select Preferences in the dropdown menu.

2. In the Preferences window, select Communication, then click on the Notifications tab.

3. Check preferred selections under either of the two headings: Notify me when a student or Notify me when an instructor/TA.

4. Click the Grant release of FERPA education records checkbox to enable messages to be sent to a personal email (Click here to learn about FERPA).

Note: In order to receive email notifications from instructors, students must check the Enable Notifications from Instructors/TAs checkbox. By doing this, students are granting the university permission to send FERPA protected information (such as feedback on homework, tests, assignments, etc.) via email.

5. Click Save to update notification preferences.
